Historically the library, archives, and museum professions have often been separate and even at loggerheads. Many factors, including digital preservation and online access, have now made integrated approaches to hybrid or sibling collections an imperative. Both public and private sector archivists make use of collection management systems not originally designed for archival collections. The presenters discuss their successes, lessons learned, and the advantages and disadvantages of using these systems to manage archives.
