SESSION 106 - Successful Succession Planning: Lessons Learned When Long-term Staff Members Leave

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

When staff members with years of experience leave, it creates a range of challenges for remaining staff and for the individuals taking up the mantle of those who left. Experienced reference archivists take with them a deep knowledge of collections. New top managers often overhaul organizational structures affecting the entire institution. Panelists speak from their own experiences with major staff transitions and offer advice to those leaving and remaining.
