SESSION 205 - Exploring the User Experience with Digital Primary Sources

As archives increasingly use the web to provide access to holdings, it is critical to identify and continually update our knowledge of user needs and behaviors. This session focuses on user needs and how usability assessment can help us evaluate the extent to which our online interfaces and tools are meeting the needs of target audiences. Panelists discuss recent studies with various methodologies and share findings related to the user experience with online primary sources.


Sherri Berger

Special Collections Product Manager, California Digital Library
Sherri Berger is a Product Manager at the California Digital Library. She works on collaborative digital projects to provide greater access to special collections throughout California. She managed the two-year project build a next-generation Calisphere service (both the interface and underlying ingest platform), and is currently spearheading the effort envision and implement exhibitions on the site.
