SESSION 208 - Native Americans and Route 66: Hidden Stories of the Mother Road

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The Native American voice is rarely heard in the history of Route 66. Representatives from the National Park Service Route 66 Archives and Research Collaboration present their efforts to bring the largely hidden experiences of Native peoples to light. Learn more about Tribal Listening Sessions held by the NPS; the challenges that archivists face to identify and describe resources related to Route 66; and the recent California Route 66 Primary Resources Survey.
