SESSION 610 - Digitization Crossroads: An Interdisciplinary, Cross-Profession Discussion

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Archivists, humanities scholars, and others agree on the transformative power of digitization initiatives. Recent scholarship suggests the existence of distinct professional and disciplinary differences which contribute to varying approaches to digitization. This conversation brings together archivists and scholars of history, literary studies, and communication, each with experience in the design and/or use of digital projects. The participants and audience will discuss digitization, including back-end design and functionality and the intersection of materiality with digital description.
