Jamie Seemiller is an Acquisitions Archivist at the Denver Public Library Western History and Genealogy Department. She received her B.A. film degree from Southern Methodist University and spent 10 years as a coordinating producer in educational television. Her work on a PBS show called “Great Museums” sparked her interest in history and prompted her to return to school to pursue a career as an Archivist. She graduated from the University of Denver with an MLIS degree in 2007, joined the Western History staff and became a Certified Archivist in 2008. From 2008 to 2013 she was the Program Administrator for the IMLS grant Creating Communities. The grant project created an online social archive to collect and preserve Colorado history. For SAA, she has served as the Chair of the PLASC Roundtable, Program Committee and currently serves on the Acquisitions & Appraisal Section. She has also been the President and Archivist for Society of Rocky Mountain Archivists.
