Tanya Marshall is the State Archivist of the State of Vermont and directs the Vermont State Archives and Records Administration, having previously served as the State’s Deputy State Archivist and Senior Records Analyst. She has a Master in Library Science degree, with a concentration in archives, records, and information management from the University of Maryland at College Park, where she also completed coursework toward a doctorate in information science. Marshall is past president of the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA). She also previously served on the Board of the Council of State Archivists (CoSA) and ARMA International’s Standards Development Program Committee. Marshall is the recipient of Society of American Archivist's 2013 Emerging Leader Award and NAGARA's 2017 Distinguished Service Award.
